The Tasmanian Risk Management Fund is the Tasmanian Government’s self-insurance fund which is managed by the Department of Treasury and Finance.
This document certifies that the Fund will meet losses for which the Department of Health (including Tasmanian Health Service) is legally liable in the 2022-23 financial year in respect of the following risks, subject to the Department of Health meeting the applicable excess per claim:
- Workers Compensation (covering liability under the Workers Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1988);
- General Liability (including public and products liability and professional indemnity requirements set by the National Boards established under the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law Act 2009);
- General Property; and
- Personal Accident (including no-fault personal injury cover for authorised Department volunteers).
