Emergency accommodation and support is available for low-income people who are required to isolate or quarantine due to COVID-19 and cannot do so safely at home or are homeless.

Emergency accommodation

Emergency accommodation, such as hotel rooms, is available for individuals and families on low incomes who are required by Public Health to isolate or quarantine due to COVID-19 but are unable to do so safely at home or are homeless.

Safe Spaces

Safe Spaces are located in Hobart, Burnie and Launceston and provide a specialised low-barrier crisis accommodation service for Tasmanians experiencing episodic or chronic primary homelessness to engage with a range of essential services, including mental health and health services.

Safe Spaces can help you access showers, meals, laundry services and health services along with places that can help accommodate your pets. The Burnie and Hobart Safe Spaces can accommodate pets.
