Public exposure sites listed below are places that have been visited by people with COVID-19 while they were infectious.

What you need to do

If you have been at any of the exposure sites during the specified days and times, you must:

  • immediately travel by private transport directly to your home or accommodation and quarantine
  • contact the Public Health Hotline immediately on 1800 671 738 for advice (if you have not already been contacted by Public Health)
  • follow the Public Health advice provided in the table below for that site
  • monitor yourself for symptoms. If you develop any symptoms, call the Public Health Hotline to arrange a COVID-19 test.

Current public exposure sites

If you have had contact with a case while they were infectious or you have visited a “primary close contact” exposure site, you must quarantine for 14 days after your most recent exposure.

If you develop any COVID-19 symptoms during this time, no matter how mild, you need to get tested immediately.

Primary Close Contact ­exposure sites

You must:

  • Quarantine immediately.
  • Call the Public Health Hotline on 1800 671 738 for advice and to arrange a COVID-19 test (if you have not already been contacted by Public Health).
  • Stay in quarantine for 14 days from the date you were exposed to the case.
  • Undertake further tests, as per advice from Public Health.

Casual Contact exposure sites

You must:

  • Quarantine immediately.
  • Call the Public Health Hotline on 1800 671 738 for advice and to arrange a COVID-19 test on or after day 5 from the date of your exposure to the case (if you have not already been contacted by Public Health).
  • Stay in quarantine until you receive a negative test result. This test must be after day 5.

Low-risk sites

If you were at this location during the exposure period, you must monitor for COVID-19 symptoms and get tested immediately if you develop symptoms by calling the Public Health Hotline on 1800 671 738.
