Aged care and disability vaccination requirements

There is a change to the effective date for workers in aged care and disability to have a booster dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. The additional vaccination requirement is now effective from Saturday 23 April.

People required to comply with the Direction, Additional vaccination requirements for workers in certain settings are workers in residential aged care facilities, in-home and community aged care and certain disability support workers.

The requirement means that workers who are due for a booster dose need to ensure that they have received it within four weeks of their due date.

Workers need to provide their vaccination status to their employer before the 23 April and ensure they get the booster dose within 4 weeks of being due.
