Changes to COVID-19 risk level

07 Sep 2022

Numbers of new COVID-19 cases have continued to decline since July 2022.

This reflects the reduction in COVID-19 community transmission across Tasmania.

The level of COVID-19 risk in Tasmania is now LOW to MODERATE.

This does not mean there is no risk. COVID-19 is still present in all regions of the state.

We should expect COVID-19 case numbers to increase again (waves of infection).

It is the responsibility of all Tasmanians to keep up the COVID-safe behaviours we have been practicing, which help reduce the spread of COVID-19.

Together these behaviours are the best way to reduce your risk of catching COVID-19, and, if you do get it, help limit the spread to others.
