The level of COVID-19 risk in Tasmania is now moderate

15 Aug 2022

Numbers of new COVID-19 cases have declined since late July 2022.

This reflects a reduction in COVID-19 community transmission across Tasmania.

The level of COVID-19 risk in Tasmania is now MODERATE.

This does not mean there is no risk. COVID-19 is still present and being transmitted in all regions of the state.

We should expect times when COVID-19 case numbers will increase again (waves of infection).

It is the responsibility of all Tasmanians to keep up the COVID-safe behaviours we have been practicing, which help reduce transmission.

Together these behaviours are the best way to reduce your risk of catching COVID-19, and if you do get it help limit the spread to others.
