Voting options for people with COVID-19

15 May 2022

The Federal Election will be held on Saturday 21 May and COVID safety is a priority for people attending polling places.

If you are in isolation as a COVID-19 case on election day, you can visit the Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) website to check your voting options.

If you are well (not in isolation) and are voting in person at a polling place, remember to:

  • Keep your distance from others (at least 1.5 metres).
  • Sanitise your hands before and after voting.
  • Be patient and wait your turn. COVID-safety measures such as physically distanced queuing may mean voting takes just a little extra time.
