Vaccination Incentive Program for Tasmanians aged 12 to 18

The Tasmanian Government is running a prize draw for young Tasmanians who are vaccinated to boost vaccination rates before the borders reopen on 15 December.

Young people experience the highest rates of COVID-19 infection and are the biggest spreaders of the virus from household to household.

How it works

Tasmanians aged 12 to 18 who have been vaccinated against COVID-19 can register to win an iPad, iPhone, or Apple Watch.

There will be three chances to win.

Round 1

  • Who can win: Any person aged 12 – 18 who gets a first or second jab at a state-run community clinic between Saturday 20 and Wednesday 24 November.
  • How to enter: Complete the paper registration form on the day
  • The draw: Five winners will be selected across the five days for each region (North, North-West and South).
  • What: Winners can choose between an iPhone or an iPad.

Round 2

  • Who can win: Any person aged 12 – 18 who is fully vaccinated by midnight on 30 November.
  • How to enter: Complete the online registration form by midnight on 30 November.
  • The draw: Five winners will be selected from each region (North, North-West and South) on 1 December.
  • What: Winners can choose between an iPhone or an iPad, pending availability*.

Round 3

  • Who can win: Any person aged 12 – 18 who is fully vaccinated by midnight on 14 December.
  • How to enter: Complete the online registration form by midnight on 14 December.
  • The draw: 20 winners will be selected from across the state on 15 December.
  • What: Winners can choose between an iPhone, iPad or Apple Watch, pending availability*.

Terms and Conditions

This competition is being conducted by the Department of Health, ABN 11 255 872 006, 22 Elizabeth Street, Hobart Tasmania.

The Competition is open from 12 noon on 19 November 2021 to 12 Noon on 15 December 2021.

Total prize value is approximately $70,000 consisting of fifty (50) apple devices.



  • All entrants must be aged between 12 and 18 at the time of vaccination.
  • Individuals are limited to one entry and one prize per person.
  • Staff and family members of staff of the Department of Health, Tasmania are not eligible.
  • Entrants must be Tasmanian Residents.
  • Prize winners, other than spot prize winners, must be fully vaccinated at the time of the prize draw.
  • Entrants under the age of 18 must have parental consent to enter the competition.

  • Eligibility – must have received a first or second vaccine at a Tasmanian state-run community clinic between Saturday 20 and Wednesday 24 November.

    • Five winners will be selected at random from eligible entrants vaccinated in the North of Tasmania within three days of Wednesday 24 November.
    • Five winners will be selected at random from eligible entrants vaccinated in the North-West of Tasmania within three days of Wednesday 24 November.
    • Five winners will be selected at random from eligible entrants vaccinated in the South of Tasmania within three days of Wednesday 24 November.
  • Prize – winner can choose from an iPad or iPhone.

  • Eligibility – must be fully vaccinated in Tasmania by 30 November
  • How to enter – must complete the online registration form by 30 November.
  • Selecting winners:
    • Five winners will be selected at random from eligible entrants vaccinated in the North of Tasmania on 1 December.
    • Five winners will be selected at random from eligible entrants vaccinated in the North-West of Tasmania on 1 December.
    • Five winners will be selected at random from eligible entrants vaccinated in the South of Tasmania on 1 December.

Prize – winner can choose from an iPad or iPhone, pending availability

  • Eligibility – must be fully vaccinated in Tasmania by 14 December.
  • How to enter – must complete the online registration form by 14 December.
  • Selecting winners – 20 winners will be selected at random from eligible entrants across Tasmania on 15 December.
  • Prize – winner can choose from an iPad, iPhone, or Apple Watch, pending availability.

  • Draws will be conducted at the Department of Health Offices
  • Spot prizes will be drawn from the physical entry form lodged at a clinic on the day of vaccination
  • The 1 December and 15 December draws will be conducted through a random name generator applied to the electronic registrations lodged.
  • Eligibility will be checked at time of the draw and if a person’s name is drawn and they are ineligible then they will be excluded and the prize re-drawn.
  • Prize winners (including the eligibility to win a prize) will be decided by the Department of Health.  All decisions are final.
  • Winners will be notified using the contact details provided at the time of registration and prizes will be sent by express post on the day of the draw.
  • Prizes unclaimed after 14 days will result in a further draw for the unclaimed prizes.
  • To the extent permitted at law, the Department excludes all liability to entrants for any loss, damage, claim or expense that entrants suffer or incur in connection with this competition.
  • All entrants release the Department from any liability, cost, damage, loss or expense arising out of, or in connection with, entry into this competition.

  • All data collected as part of the competition will be held securely by the Tasmanian Vaccination Emergency Operations Centre (TVEOC).
  • Data will be used only for the purpose of the competition and will not be shared with third parties outside Government.
  • Data will be deleted 60 days after the competition is completed.

  • The name and suburb of the winner will be published publicly after the draw.
  • Winners and their parents/guardian will be asked for their consent in participating in follow-up promotion.
