As part of the Department of Health’s Winter Strategy 2022, the Government is seeking to reduce the impact of flu in the Tasmanian community by maximising flu vaccination coverage around Tasmania to ensure the State is prepared to manage both COVID-19 and Influenza peaks should they each or both occur in tandem.
The Department is providing free pop-up flu vaccination clinics as part of a program for identified priority groups, including workers in critical industries and their families, family and household members of workers in disability and aged care, as well as in rural and remote areas without easy access to vaccination providers or where additional support has been identified, to supplement existing programs.
Appointments are not required at these clinics.
